Yee Kee Chinese Restaurant
About This Spot
Stepping into Yee Kee Chinese Restaurant, you enter a lively neighborhood gem where the hum of conversation mingles effortlessly with the welcoming scent of sizzling spices and frying woks. The atmosphere unfolds at a relaxed yet purposeful rhythm, inviting both familiar faces and newcomers to slow down and savor a shared communal experience. The modest, unpretentious setting feels like a beloved local secret — the kind of place where comfort comes not from frills, but from genuine flavors and familiar warmth.
Here, every meal carries a sense of home-cooked care wrapped in bold, satisfying tastes. Plates come rich with generous portions of golden, crisped chicken wings or tender fried specialties, often accompanied by steaming bowls of hot and sour soup or fragrant rice that carries just the right balance of seasoning. The menu encourages a little adventurousness, revealing a variety of textures and sauces that tease the palate without overwhelming it. The food’s straightforward authenticity is where much of the magic lies — recipes that feel time-tested, respectful to tradition yet alive with personal touches visible in each dish’s hearty, lively bite.
Yee Kee’s spirit is quietly embodied in its regulars’ stories: a Saturday night dinner place for families, a quick midday refuge for office workers craving something familiar, and a weekend comfort stop for those chasing the kind of perfectly spiced chicken that’s both hearty and a little indulgent. There’s an unspoken trust here — that you’ll get exactly what you came for, with a warmth that goes beyond the food.
It’s this blend of casual neighborhood charm with dishes crafted thoughtfully through hands that know their craft, that makes Yee Kee feel less like a typical restaurant and more like a dependable local haven. Whether it’s a shared meal with friends or a quiet solo stop, it’s a place where time slows just enough to appreciate the welcoming atmosphere alongside well-loved flavors that invite return visits without pretense.

The food here is amazing. I ordered the House Special Mei Fun and wow it was so good. Plenty of meat and vegetables and noodles. Best taste so far I have had.

The food here was very good! Nice & fresh. I believe the bbq sauce has some type of soy sauce in it. Sooo good! Will be back again.

Top 5 north jersey Chinese food spot. Amazing chicken szechuan. The chicken chunks are huge and all different shapes and not some generic flat square a lot of places are pushing.
